Done!

It's official! The costumes are done. Well, Ok I still have to figure out how to do the frog feet for Ryan's costume, but over all they are done. The girls and Ryan went to a Halloween party today and WOW! Their costumes were killer if I do say so myself.

Next on task is getting ready for Meghan's Harry Potter Party on Sat night. And just to make sure I am completely out of my mind I am leaving Chris for the day and going to Team Manager training for DI. That means I am entrusting him to get the house clean and decorated for the party. What am I thinking?????

The chicken is dead...

Ryan not liking how tall his chicken was tonight decided to cut it off. Luckily he only got a little bit of it so if doesn't show too much. Oh well he has plenty of hair to cover up the one spot. Damn Chicken!

Bras on Broadway

This month is Breast Cancer Awareness Month so the Hotel Donaldson in Fargo,ND in conjunction with Radio Fargo Moorhead are having their third annual Bras On Broadway.

So last week I dropped off my bra and a donation and this week they have hung all the bras donated on the side of the Hotel Donaldson. The world's longest bra garland is 114,000 bras. Not sure if the FM area will make that record, but the site was impressive.

Here are some pictures from today. For more info you can go to
http://www.hoteldonaldson.com/bucks.html

I looked for my bra but I couldn't find it. Next year I will have to donate a colorful one next year!

Muddy fun!

Saturday was a beautiful day here, a little windy but good, so we took the kids to the Haunted Corn Maze. No, it isn't haunted during the day although Meghan was just dying that it would be. The maze typically takes about 1 1/2 hours to get through, but we got lucky and made it through in 45 minutes. There was a lot of mud of course, but not nearly as bad as we expected. Aaron got a ride through the whole thing and I was very thankful I have a tall husband as we came to a drainage ditch that was really muddy and full of water. My wonderful tall husband stratled the ditch and lifted each of us over. YEAH! Chris!

After the maze the kids enjoyed the jumpy castles and Vortex, we went on a hay ride and sat by the fire enjoying our snack. The kids got to get a small pumpkin and gourd and off we went. Which reminds me, I think those are still in the back of the van. HAHA!

Anyway...

Field Trip

Yesterday I went on a field trip with Ryan and his preschool friends to the Firestation. I had a blast but as I found out later Ryan didn't want me on the bus or to come a long. What a Schmuck!

They got see the lights on the truck, learn about the tools that the fireman use, walk through the truck, see the hose room where they clean the hoses and see where the fireman stay when they are at work. The Fireman received a call for a car accident while we were there so the kids watched a video on fire safety and then one of the preschoolers grandpas finished the tour. He works there but wasn't on duty at the time. The kids had a blast seeing him go down the fire pole a number of times. ONe little boy kept asking to see the Chief so the Deputy Chief said "come on" and all 36 preschoolers came after him to meet the chief who wasn't entirely ready for the day and had to put his shirt on. The kids thought it was great.

As we were leaving the two firemen who started the tour came back and the kids got to watch them back the truck into the garage.

Ryan and I showed Chris the pictures when he got home and Ryan told his dad all about his trip.

Fall colors...

My favorite time of year is fall. Maybe it's because I love Halloween, maybe it's because the best pictures are taken in the fall - the colors make them pop! Maybe it's the cooler weather and I can pull out me sweatshirts. I don't know, but I just love the fall. Here are some pics I took today while Ryan was at preschool.

This house I lived in while in college for over a year. It used to be yellow and made up of three apts. I lived on the main floor. Now it looks like it is a single family dwelling again. I loved it because the kitchen was huge and it had a great front porch and a rear porch as well.
